David Keith Lynch who originally wanted to be an artist is an American filmmaker. When he was young, he was eager to become an artist, however, after five years of study, he decided to turn his attention to film.

Lynch’s films are known for nightmarish and dreamlike images and meticulous sound design. Over a lengthy career, Lynch has employed a distinctive, unorthodox approach to narrative filmmaking that has become instantly recognizable to many audiences and critics worldwide. He produced a whole host of cult classics – Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, and Blue Velvet. Lynch is arguably most associated, however, with the nineties television series Twin Peaks.
